Blackrock International Land plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Philip Halpenny as Finance Director. Philip, a chartered accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers until 1989, joins the Group from Fyffes plc, where he has held a number of senior positions within the Group, including that of Company Secretary since 1998. He had a close involvement with Fyffes' property activities for many years prior to their de-merger to Blackrock. He has been a non-executive Director of Blackrock since it was set up in May this year.
Commenting on this appointment, Blackrock Chairman, Carl McCann, said:
' We are very pleased with the appointment of Philip Halpenny as Finance Director. His knowledge and experience will be a significant asset to Blackrock in achieving its ambition to grow the company into a substantial, internationally recognised property business.'
